Willow Street Capital, Duke Hospitality and The Charre Group have signed a franchise agreement with Hilton for a new Tapestry Collection by Hilton hotel in Melbourne, Fla. Overcash Demmit Architects and EoA Group designed the hotel in line with the Tapestry Collection’s bright elements, while Duke Hospitality will serve as property manager. The signing marks the first hotel in Florida for Hilton’s 14th brand.

The boutique hotel will offer 156 keys and is scheduled to come online in early 2020. The 11-story property will provide guests with access to a rooftop lounge with indoor/outdoor terrace, state-of-the-art rooftop meeting and event space, a fitness center and 170 parking spaces. The development of this hotel is set to create more than 200 jobs during construction and more than 50 permanent jobs, once completed.

“It’s time that the dynamic city of Melbourne can boast a welcoming and stylish hotel that tourists and business travelers alike can call home in the historical downtown district. We are proud of the public-private partnership we have established with the City of Melbourne to make this outstanding project possible,” said Miguel Rivera, principal of Willow Street Capital, in a prepared statement.

Last November, The Tapestry Collection by Hilton unveiled three new locations: The Troubadour Hotel New Orleans, The Cotton Sail Hotel in Savannah, Ga., and Hotel Ballast in Wilmington, N.C.
