Liberty Ridge in DurhamTwo new speculative developments and a build-to-suit project will soon rise at Liberty Ridge in Durham, a 36-acre industrial park situated on TW Alexander Drive, between Page Road and Miami Boulevard.

Pennsylvania REIT Liberty Property Trust began construction on two of the facilities in May. One of these, a 58,500-square-foot structure is located at 1951 TW Alexander Drive, while the other one, spanning 126,000 square feet, is located at 1953 TW Alexander Drive.

Both warehouse buildings are being developed on a speculative basis and should be complete by December.

This month, Liberty is also breaking ground on another project at Liberty Ridge, a 136,500-square-foot industrial facility that would serve the expansion needs of Durham-based Implus Footcare. The company has signed a long term lease for the building and was represented in the transaction by Hunter Willard and Larry Lakins with DTZ in Raleigh.

Meanwhile, Bryan Blythe of Liberty worked with CBRE’s Raleigh industrial team of Daniel Jackson, Ann-Stewart Patterson, and Butch Miller.

Designed by Dishner Moore Architects, all three development projects aim to achieve LEED certification. The general contractor is ARCO Design/Build.

Liberty’s Carolinas portfolio comprises more than seven million square feet of multi-tenant industrial space, including 1.4 million square feet in Raleigh/Durham, 1.9 million square feet in the Piedmont Triad, 2.7 million square feet in Charlotte and 1.3 million square feet in Greenville, S.C.
