Logistics Property Co. Breaks Ground on WI Development

Situated on 67 acres, the 1 million-square-foot project in Kenosha is slated to encompass two buildings and should come online by summer 2019.

Logistics Property Co. has broken ground on a logistics facility in Kenosha, Wis. Dubbed 94 Logistics Park, the project is scheduled for completion by the summer of 2019 and will comprise 1 million square feet.

The development is set to feature two buildings. Situated on 67 acres, 94 Logistics Park will offer convenient access to Interstate 94 and nearby Chicago. Building One is slated to comprise 750,000 square feet with features such as 36-foot clear heights, 146 docks, four drive-in doors, 168 trailer parking spaces, 300 auto parking spaces, a 185-foot truck court, 52- by 50-foot column spacing and 75-foot speed bays. Building Two will comprise 288,000 square feet and include 32-foot clear heights, two drive-in doors, 50 docks, 49 trailer parking spaces, 272 auto parking spaces, a 185-foot truck court, 52- by 50-foot column spacing and 75-foot speed bays.

“This project will bring new jobs, tax revenue and add to the positive growth and momentum within the Kenosha area,” Aaron Martell, executive vice president, Midwest Region, Logistics Property Co., told Commercial Property Executive. “The lack of bulk spec supply, the large pool of surrounding labor with more than 10,000 workers within 15 minutes of the project, being adjacent to both Uline and Amazon’s fulfillment and sortation centers, among other reasons were some of the most intriguing characteristics of this location.”

A Colliers Chicago Industrial team of Fred Regnery and Ned Frank, along with Colliers Milwaukee broker Steve Sewart, will handle project leasing.
