Marcus & Millichap Hires Former Colliers Exec as CIO

Shortly after Marcus & Millichap created a new position and promoted Gregory LaBerge to chief administrative officer, the commercial real estate investment services firm has hired Ken Sayward as chief information officer (CIO).
In his new role, Sayward will be responsible for developing Marcus & Millichap’s next generation of real estate brokerage technologies and incorporating the latest trends into the firm’s brokerage support systems.
“Marcus & Millichap’s commitment to investment brokerage specialization has driven a 45-year tradition of pioneering countless systems, tools and custom applications that facilitate the matching of buyers and sellers. Our business model is centered in a constant push to bring more efficiency to our brokers and the marketplace with technology playing a central role,” said Hessam Nadji, senior executive vice president.
Prior to joining Marcus & Millichap, Sayward worked for Colliers International, where he was the head of global business applications for five years. He was responsible for strategy, architecture and delivery of the company’s internal and external applications overseeing and executing the development cycle from user needs definition to development and implementation.
Before joining Colliers, Sayward was the global director of Information System for Whirpool International for 14 years.
Sayward earned a degree in electrical engineering at the University of New Haven.
