California hospitality

Earlier this year, S.D. Malkin Properties landed a $155 million construction loan to build two oceanfront hotels in Oceanside, Calif., a suburb of San Diego. Located along Mission Avenue and North Pacific Street on a 2.8-acre site, the hotels will be operated by Destination Resorts and Joie de Vivre.

The first hotel will have 226 keys and will include a restaurant, lounge, swimming pool, spa and more than 20,000 square feet of meeting space. The second property will feature 161 keys, a rooftop pool and bar, restaurant, public garden and 3,000 square feet of retail space.
