According to The Hollywood Reporter, the former “Friends” star has moved a Malibu beach house and a Sierra Towers condo in West Hollywood. If you think that’s a lot, factor in the purchase of an $8.65 million place in Bird Streets, a newly star-attracting neighborhood that already counts Jodie Foster and Keanu Reeves as residents.
These moves have led to much speculation regarding Perry’s financial life, but it may just be the fact that with age comes a deeper, more active conscience. The Bird Streets venue offers 4,000 square feet above Sunset, with three bedrooms, four baths and both city and ocean views. Amenities include glass walls, an alfresco living room, a home theater and strictly upscale brands for the appliances used throughout, THR reported. One thing’s for sure, Matthew Perry is the client to bag.
And it’s all about properties like Perry’s new glass house, or at least that seems to be the consensus. Real estate agents in the Los Angeles area have gone all-out with marketing ideas that range from raffling free body alterations to witnessing Cirque du Soleil-like spectacles. The Los Angeles Times reports on such marketing hijinks as shirtless male jugglers, floating contortionists and stilt walkers all taking place at an open house event for an $8 million house. It is clear that flamboyant houses now demand flamboyant presentation, but raffling Botox treatments feels a bit condescending.
