Memorial Hospital of Tampa is set to undergo a partial renovation, including the addition of new space and preparations for a future, larger scale expansion. It has been serving the local community for more than 40 years and it currently features a state of the art emergency room, advanced diagnostics, behavioral health services, a specialized radiology department, outpatient rehabilitation, a sleep center, and a hyperbaric medicine group that specialized in wound care. The hospital treats over 4,400 patients every year and employs over 400 physicians, specializing in a wide range of disciplines.

The upcoming renovation will include aesthetic improvements to the lobby as well as its expansion by 1,000 square feet into an existing courtyard. The upgraded lobby will have decorative aluminum wall panels, polyester resin feature walls and reception desk, impact resistant storefront windows and doors, and porcelain tile flooring. The project also includes structural upgrades to allow for a future second floor addition above the lobby. The hospital will maintain normal operations during maintenance.

ARCO / Murray Construction Company has been awarded the lobby expansion and renovations. The firm is a Tampa-based design/build general contractor specializing in office, industrial, and healthcare projects throughout the United States.
