Mixed-Use Center Signs Lease with Tropical Smoothie Café for 10 Years

The two-building Gateway Plaza at Doral is currently underway. High Street Retail USA has already let out 1,382 square feet at the retail and high-end boutique office center to Tropical Smoothie Café. The lease term is 10 years.
Sharon Dresser, cofounder and International business director at High Street Retail USA, represented the landlord and Director Daniel Solomon of Katz & Associates spoke for the tenant in the transaction, according to a recent news release.
Located at 2000 NW 87th Avenue in Doral, at the intersection of NW 21 Terrace and 87th Avenue, the 84,000-sq.-ft. Gateway Plaza at Doral mixed-use center is within 1.5 miles of the Dolphin and Palmetto Expressways, as well as a number of major local thoroughfares. Its location in the area often referred to as “restaurant row” places it among several of the most successful restaurant chains in South Florida and it also benefits from good visibility along 87th Avenue. The project is being developed by DBH Properties LTD, and it will include 43,000 square feet of office space.
The site works are scheduled for completion this spring. 1,500 residential units are currently under construction and an additional 2 million square feet of new office space has city approval and is ready for construction within close proximity to Gateway Plaza at Doral.
Founded in 1993, Tropical Smoothie Café started out as a smoothie shop and has since developed into a restaurant franchise offering sandwiches, wraps, salads and soups in addition to their trademark blended beverages. The chain currently operates over 300 locations in 34 states across the US.
