M&R Appoints LaGuardia Hotel Manager

New York—M&R Hotel Management appointed Eldin Elezovic as general manager of the Holiday Inn Express LaGuardia Airport hotel. In his new position, he will be in charge of all on-site operations, including sales, marketing, security, maintenance, housekeeping and accounting.
Elezovic has more than 15 years of hotel management experience, most recently being in charge of Manhattan’s Flatiron Hotel. Prior to this, he managed a limited-service portfolio at LaGuardia. His professional track record also includes management positions at the JFK Airport Crowne Plaza, Radisson Hotel Martinique and Holiday Inn NYC-Midtown 57th Street. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business management and international business from the City University of New York.
Located at 113-10 Horrace Harding Expressway in Flushing, N.Y., the hotel is situated right next to the intersection of Interstate 495 and the Grand Central Parkway. An expansion project currently underway will add 35 guest rooms to the already existing 84.
Neighboring the Flushing Meadows Corona Park, the property is within a 10-minute car ride from both LaGuardia Airport and Citi Field. Due to its proximity to several major transit corridors, the hotel offers quick access to both New York City and Long Island destinations.
Amenities at the Holiday Inn Express in Flushing include a fitness center, 24-hour business center, bus and truck parking, convenience store, same-day dry cleaning and laundry pickup, valet parking, complimentary Wi-Fi and hourly shuttle service to both the subway and LaGuardia Airport.
Great Neck-based M&R Hotel Management currently holds a portfolio of 17 hotels in the New York City area, including four properties near JFK Airport and three in Staten Island. The company is also in charge of managing a Holiday Inn Express in the Boston area, as well as the Atlantique View Resort & Spa in Anse de Mai, Dominica.
