The City of Walnut Creek, Calif. has selected Newmark Cornish & Carey, part of Newmark Knight Frank, to market 4,310 square feet of retail space in the heart of the city. The leasing team will be led by Meghan Basso, Cece Vohs Cimino and Gwen White. The previous tenant, Lark Creek, closed the doors of its restaurant in July 2017, leaving the unit vacant.

Located at 1360 Locust St., the building is positioned in the center of the city’s vibrant downtown retail district. The retail unit is part of a five-level, 250-car parking structure, also home to the Tender Greens restaurant. The city owns and operates the property, which was constructed in the mid-1990s.

“Downtown Walnut Creek has been experiencing an exciting transformation in recent years and is becoming a vibrant, 24/7 urban destination. We anticipate the majority of interest will come from restauranteurs looking to be a part of other successful dining establishments that make this area a premier ‘foodie’ destination,” said Basso, associate director of Newmark Cornish & Carey, in a prepared statement.
