New 75-Key Hotel Breaks Ground in East Austin

The $15 million, six-story hotel will begin commercial operation by the end of August 2018 and will include 26 cabana-type lodging rooms.

Construction work is underway for The East Austin Hotel, a $15.3 million hospitality project. The six-story, 75-key development is anticipated to begin commercial operation by August 2018. 

The 85,470-square-foot property will be located at 11085 East 6th St. in Austin. Upon completion, the hotel will feature two levels of underground parking with 91 spaces, a full-service restaurant, a central courtyard pool and bar areas, as well as 26 cabana-type lodging rooms. The garage and first level podium will be post-tensioned concrete framed, while the floors above will encompass a combination of structural steel and wood frame. The façade will consist of a mix of materials, textures and colors that will complement the architectural details of the region.

Local development team

The owner of the hotel is the local management and consulting company La Corsha Hospitality Partners. The development team includes Kyle Dysart, Corey Mitchell, Bill Rees and Chaser Weaver from Jordan Foster Construction. Rhode Partners is the architecture firm .
