Olathe, Kan.—A newly built Embassy Suites by Hilton hotel has opened its doors to guests this week in Johnson County, Kan. Developed by Moline, Ill.-based Heart of America Group, the 200-suite hotel is located at 10401 S. Ridgeview Road in Olathe, Kan., the fourth largest city in the Kansas City metropolitan area.
Embassy Suites by Hilton Kansas City Olathe benefits from its central location within the Corporate Ridge office park, at the intersection of K-10 and I-435. The hotel provides guests with easy access to major employers in the area, sports facilities, and shopping and dining destinations.
According to the Kansas City Business Journal, the $51 million hotel project broke ground in the spring of 2014, and is Heart of America’s third hotel asset in Olathe. The company also developed the former Comfort Suites hotel at 119th Street and Strang Line Road in 1997, and the Hilton Garden Inn and Johnny’s Italian Steakhouse at 121st Street and Strang Line Road in 2012.
Olathe’s latest hotel offers a plethora of amenities, including a heated indoor swimming pool, 24-hour fitness and business centers, 15,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space, and the J Bar Restaurant.
“With its beautiful, modern design and the renowned brand offerings of Embassy Suites by Hilton, this new hotel is the perfect addition to the city of Olathe,” Bill Duncan, global head at Embassy Suites by Hilton, said in a statement. “The very first Embassy Suites opened in Kansas City-Overland Park, KS in 1984, and more than 30 years later, we are thrilled to continue the tradition of providing two-room suites, free made-to-order breakfast and a complimentary evening reception to all of our guests visiting the area.”
