Developers are planning a new office building in South Baltimore. It will be part of the $275 million Stadium Square project.

The Baltimore Business Journal reports that representatives of Caves Valley Partners, the company behind Stadium Square, went before the city’s Urban Design and Architecture Review Panel on Thursday, June 18, to present the plans for the eight-story building. The project is expected to cost $20 million. It calls for the construction of an 80,000-square-foot property, on the site of an existing warehouse, in the third parcel which makes up Stadium Square.

Caves Valley Partners hopes to demolish the warehouse this summer and to start work on the project in December. If everything goes as planned, the new office building could be finished by January 2017. Design Collective is the project’s architect.

According to the Baltimore Business Journal, Arsh Mirmiran, a partner with Caves Valley Partners, said that the developer has a letter of intent from an existing Baltimore organization for three floors in the future office building, and that two other companies are interested in leasing full floors. He did not disclose any names.
