Novak Bros. Names New President of Commercial Development

Industry veteran Andy Heard previously served as the managing director of Hines Interests. In his new role, he will focus on development and acquisition strategies.

Novak Bros. LLC has hired Andy Heard as its new president of commercial development & partner. In his new role, he will oversee development and procurement tactics of commercial assets.

Previously, he worked at Hines Interests as managing director & city leader for Austin and San Antonio. From 2000 to 2002, he also served as an analyst for HFF. With more than 15 years of industry experience, Heard was also involved in acquisition and asset management, specializing on pursuing and executing new development opportunities. His portfolio includes deals totaling more than $550 million in office, retail, multifamily, industrial and hospitality.

Andy Heard holds an MBA from Rice University and a bachelor’s degree in real estate finance from Southern Methodist University—Cox School of Business.
