Ohio’s First “Lion” Roars in Sharonville

A new hotel is now open in Cincinnati. And it’s a Red Lion.

A new hotel has come to metropolitan Cincinnati, and it’s the state’s first Red Lion.

Following a renovation and re-branding, the Red Lion Hotel Cincinnati/Sharonville recently opened its doors. The 185-key property was formerly known as the Radisson Cincinnati North CoCo Key Water Resort. Durga L.LC., the property’s owner, did not reveal the cost of the conversion.

Located at 11320 Chester Rd., the property is across the street from the 65,000-square-foot Sharonville Convention Center, the Cincinnati area’s only LEED-certified meeting space. Other nearby attractions include the Cincinnati’s only indoor water park, the CoCo Key Water Resort.

Highlights of the hotel’s amenities include indoor and outdoor pools, a fitness center, a bar, a business center, a restaurant and 17,000 square feet of meeting space.

Red Lion Hotels Corp. announced the signing of a franchise agreement for a Cincinnati-area hotel last December. “Cincinnati has been one of our top target markets because of all the growth the city has been experiencing,” Brian Quinn, Red Lion Hotels’ chief franchise officer, said in a statement.
