Omni Hotels & Resorts Appoints New Vice President of Sales

Newly appointed Mark Wykes will be responsible for leveraging hotel revenue strategies while increasing the brand’s market share.

Dallas—Luxury chain Omni Hotels & Resorts recently announced the promotion of long-standing industry veteran Mark Wykes as vice president of hotel sales and marketing.

In his new position, Wykes will be responsible for leveraging hotel revenue strategies while increasing the brand’s market share. In achieving this, he will work closely with regional and area directors of sales and marketing.

“Mark has been an invaluable asset and an instrumental part of the Omni family for nearly a decade (…) He has an impeccable track record of setting and achieving high business goals and objectives, and we look forward to many more successful years with Mark leading our sales organization,” noted Peter Strebel, chief marketing officer and senior vice president of sales at Omni Hotels & Resorts.

Before the promotion, Wykes served as director of global sales for six years and an additional two and a half as regional director of sales and marketing for Omni. His track record also includes the Hilton Anatole Hotel, W Hotels in New Orleans, as well as key positions with Sheraton in Torrey Pines and Palm Springs in California, New Orleans, and Washington, D.C.

Omni Hotels & Resorts currently holds a portfolio of 60 upscale hotels and resorts throughout North America. The luxury chain was recently ranked “Highest in Guest Satisfaction among Upper Upscale Hotel Chains” in the J.D. Power 2015 North American Hotel Guest Satisfaction Index Study℠.
