The Opus Group has promoted Vice President Sean Cummings to lead the company’s Denver office. He will be responsible for the leadership, development, as well as the management for the team. Cummings will continue to lead industrial development in Phoenix.
Bringing more than 20 years of commercial real estate industry experience, Cummings focuses on Opus’ Phoenix investment initiatives, primarily industrial and office developments. He used to manage land planning and entitlements for more than 300 acres and for the development of roughly 500,000 square feet of Class A office and medical office in Arizona, California and Illinois.
Prior to joining the company’s Denver office, Cummings led industrial development in Phoenix. The Opus Airport Industrial, Longbow Gateway One and Goodyear Crossing Industrial Park are among the projects he led. Previously, Cummings worked at Conor Commercial Real Estate, where he directed development projects for the Phoenix office. He holds an MBA from Kelistadt Graduate School of Business at DePaul University and a B.A. in finance from Michigan State University.
In December, Opus acquired the former Target West Campus building in Minneapolis with plans to convert it into a multi-tenant office property, scheduled for completion by spring 2019.
