Phillips Edison REIT Continues Nationwide Shopping Spree

It’s been a very busy month for Phillips Edison Grocery Center REIT II.

Cincinnati-based Phillips Edison Grocery Center REIT II is on an acquisition roll, adding even more retail assets to its extensive portfolio. Having already purchased 819,000 square feet of retail space this month, the REIT has now added another 243,636 square feet to its collection.

This week, the Ohio-based REIT acquired the following two properties, located in Florida and Colorado:

  • Cocoa Commons in Cocoa, Fla. – A 90,116-square-foot shopping center anchored by Publix. Located 48 miles east of Orlando, the center is also home to retailers such as Anytime Fitness, GNC, Sprint, Subway, Beef O’Brady’s, and Sally Beauty Supply.
  • The Village at Aspen Park in Conifer, Colo. – A 153,520-square-foot retail center located in suburban Denver. Anchored by King Soopers, its tenant roster also includes Qdoba, UPS, Cost Cutters, Anthony’s Pizza and Big R.

As previously reported by Commercial Property Executive, Phillips Edison Grocery Center REIT recently purchased six grocery-anchored shopping centers in Florida, California and Wisconsin in early November, and two more in Arizona and Florida just last week.
