ProLogis has just inked a huge industrial lease. The global provider of distribution facilities has leased 449,000 square feet of Los Angeles space to Port Logistics Group, a provider of national gateway logistics services.

Port Logistics will occupy the space at Industry Distribution Center Building Six, which is located at the intersection of the 60 and 57 freeways in the City of Industry. The location is billed as strategic for distribution to Southern California and the Western United States.

According to ProLogis first vice president and market officer Patrick Maloney, the lease makes Port Logistics the firm’s largest customer by square footage in Los Angeles County. Maloney went on to say that Southern California remains the largest distribution market in the United States, making the firm’s presence there even more important.

ProLogis has a 4.8 million-square-foot portfolio of industrial space owned and managed in markets across North America, Europe and Asia.
