ProLogis has leased approximately 489,000 square feet of distribution space to a pair of customers in California’s Central Valley. One of the food and drug retailers in North America has leased approximately 445,000 square feet from ProLogis at Central Valley Distribution Center, Building 4, located in West Sacramento. Positioned near the intersection of Interstates 5 and 80, the park features quick highway access throughout the region. The retailer will use the facility to distribute slow-moving, non-perishable items throughout the western United States. Additionally, the Complete Logistics Co., a third-party logistics provider, has leased approximately 44,000 square feet from ProLogis at Patterson Pass Business Park, a master-planned distribution park comprising 11 buildings and approximately 1.6 million square feet in Tracy. Complete Logistics will use the space to support their growing warehouse, distribution and fleet operations in Northern California. This is the first lease agreement between ProLogis and the third-party logistics provider.“Despite challenging economic conditions in the United States, the Central Valley area continues to be the most active distribution and manufacturing location in Northern California,” Ben Peterson, first vice president and market officer at ProLogis, said in a release. “This is thanks to its great access to the Port of Oakland, railroad intermodal, interstate freeways and an abundant labor force.”
