Red Propeller Expands Seattle Team

After a five-year tenure at Crescent Communities, Tyler Niess joins Red Propeller’s Seattle team. He brings extensive experience in marketing and product strategy.

Tyler Niess has joined Seattle-based real estate advisory firm Red Propeller, as the firm’s fourth partner. He will help expand the company’s growth in the areas of strategy, marketing and sales management.

Prior to joining Red Propeller’s team, Tyler worked as a chief marketing officer at Crescent Communities since 2012. At Crescent, he was responsible for developing and implementing creative, innovative and sustainable strategies to support the company’s real estate development and investment, including commercial, multifamily, single-family and second home communities.

“He (Tyler Niess) brings a wealth of experience and a strategic, research-based approach to real estate marketing and product strategy, which will translate well into our business and further strengthen our client services offering,” Alison Jeffries, founder & CEO at Red Propeller, said in a statement. “His creativity, paired with the experience he has had as a part of the senior leadership of a real estate development and investment company the caliber of Crescent, makes him a fantastic addition to the team. His experience in marketing, business development and corporate strategy in both domestic and international markets will add to the work of our team.”

Tyler also held leadership positions at Playground Destination Properties, Frog Design and Critical Mass. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College.
