Renovations Unveiled at Houston Airport Marriott at George Bush Intercontinental

Houston Airport Marriott at George Bush Intercontinental recently reopened after a $53 million property-wide transformation of the hotel.

Houston—The Houston Airport Marriott located at the heart of George Bush Intercontinental Airport recently unveiled renovations worth $53 million, according to the Houston Business Journal. Houston Airport Marriott

The renovations for the 573-room hotel, which opened at Bush Intercontinental in 1971, extended from the exterior to the guest rooms, suites, meeting rooms, lobby, restaurants, public areas and fitness center. All areas have been updated to a design that focuses on improving the overall guest experience.

The 35 meeting rooms feature 30,000 square feet of total space and showcase new furnishings, carpet, wall coverings and technology. The guest rooms have been completely renovated and offer custom-designed headboards that incorporate the latest technological conveniences with task lighting, electric outlets and USB outlets.

“The hotel has been updated with our guest’s comfort in mind so that they may have an uplifting experience and the opportunity to recharge while they are on the road,” said Suzy Hart, general manager of the Houston Airport Marriott, in prepared remarks. “We’re thrilled to extend our reopening celebration into the George Bush Intercontinental Airport with travel amenities for those coming to Houston and departing to various destinations.”
