Rockwell Group is Refreshing L.A. Venues for sbe
- Aug 20, 2015
Two L.A. entertainment venues will be given new life as nightlife operator sbe recently tasked Rockwell Group with a revamp. Greystone Manor and Mercato di Vetro will be taken through extensive redesigns that will debut to guests starting with 2016. The process will be handled in partnership with sbe’s recently announced real estate subsidiary, Dakota Development.
Mercato di Vetro is a two-story facility heavily influenced by the European concept of a central courtyard surrounded by a number of rooms. Following the makeover, the space will become a dine-and-play location that will also be given a new culinary identity. Rockwell Group will also redesign the ground floor area that includes lounges, a terrace and a central bar. The fresh Mercato di Vetro will be unveiled in early 2016.
Meanwhile, Greystone Manor will be transformed into an avant-garde cortile. After activating under sbe’s management for a number of years, the venue will be fitted with new environments where guests will be able to dine and lounge. The facility will continue to feature a central nightclub that will offer illuminated LED animation, graphic coverings inspired by exotic foliage and magical surrealism, new banquettes, and materials such as marble and metal.
The Sam Nazarian-controlled company is reimagining the two spaces as multi-layered entertainment venues. The Founder and President of Rockwell Group, David Rockwell, noted that his company’s goal is “to create multiple areas within each space to allow guests to choose his or her own experience.”
