Scottsdale Hotel Repositioned as Aloft After $4M Transformation
- May 12, 2016
Scottsdale, Ariz.—Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. announced the opening of its first Aloft hotel in Scottsdale. The 126-guestroom property, owned and managed by Triyar Hospitality underwent a $4 million conversion into an Aloft, complete with accessible technologies and positioned in the midst of a buzzing social scene.
“The popular Aloft brand has surpassed 100 hotels worldwide due to its strong appeal for today’s hyper-connected global traveler with its innovative programming, tech-forward mindset and lively, social scene”, said Brian McGuinness, Senior VP of Specialty Select Brands for Starwood.
The hotel offers technology aficionados Starwood’s industry-first keyless entry system, SPG Keyless. This allows guests to use their smartphone or Apple watch as a room key. Fast Wi-Fi connections are complimentary. Amenities include a Re:chargeSM fitness center, Re:fuelSM by Aloft – a one-stop gourmet grab & go food and beverage area, and live, local music at the brand’s signature W XYZ® bar, but also a 400-square-foot meeting space.
“We are thrilled to introduce Starwood’s stylish Aloft brand to Scottsdale and expect the hotel will resonate with both business and leisure travelers in pursuit of a technology-rich experience and spirited social environment”, said Michael Mahoney, CEO of Triyar Hospitality.
The new Aloft hotel is located in Scottsdale’s Entertainment District and offers great views of Camelback Mountain. Guests have easy access to Scottsdale’s best hotspots, as art galleries, Fifth Avenue’s boutiques, restaurants, Fashion Square Mall and the Scottsdale Waterfront are all easily accessible.
Aloft Scottsdale is Triyar’s fourth Starwood hotel, joining W Scottsdale, Aloft Tempe and Aloft Silicon Valley.
