Edison, N.J.—Seagis Property Group broke ground on Seagis Gateway 10, a 923,000-square-foot, cross docked, ultra-modern distribution facility in New Jersey.

The new structure, which will be built on a 50-acre lot,  will include 40-foot clear ceilings heights, ESFR sprinkler systems, 122 dock-high loading doors (expandable to 171), 371 trailer parking positions and parking for 356 automobiles. The building is registered under the LEED green building program.

“We are very excited to commence construction of Seagis Gateway 10. Industrial demand continues to be strong across New Jersey and this development will be unique throughout the Northern New Jersey market place in its size, location and modern features”, said Omer Mir Ahmed, partner at Seagis Property Group.

Seagis Gateway 10 is located at 2170 Lincoln Highway, near important transport routes and hubs. It’s only half a mile off of Exit 2B of Interstate 287, three miles from Exit 10 of the New Jersey Turnpike and 20 miles from Port of Elizabeth/Newark.

Tom Monahan and Noah Balanoff of CBRE’s Saddle Brook are marketing the property for lease. Seagis Property Group LP owns and operates 9.5 million square feet of industrial buildings along the East Coast.
