The Society of Exploration Geophysicists’ new headquarters in Tulsa is on track for a mid-year opening, FOX23 reports. The 85-year-old professional organization will move from the building it has occupied since the mid-1980s next door to a 78,992-square-foot building under construction at 91st Street and South Yale Avenue.

SEG, which has been headquartered in Tulsa since the mid-1940s, will take about 20,000 square feet in the four-story, Class A building. Move-in is scheduled for late June.

Project Manager Gary Krisman of Newmark Grubb Levy Strange Beffort told FOX23 that the building is already 50 percent leased. SEG’s future headquarters is attracting commitments from tenants in industries such as accounting, finance and contracting.

According to Tulsa World, Tulsa-based GH2 Architects is the architect of record for the project; Planning Design Group is the landscape architect, while Manhattan Construction is the general contractor. The building’s campus features a pond with fountains and complementary landscaping and outdoor seating, and will also incorporate a two-level water feature to run between the older building and the new.
