A private investor has acquired Peachtree Station, a 106,372-square-foot retail center in Chamblee, Ga. S.J. Collins Enterprises was the developer and prior owner of the asset, which is anchored by a Whole Foods market.

Located at 5001 Peachtree Blvd., the retail center features about 1,000 feet of frontage along the street. According to the Georgia Department of Transportation, approximately 38,300 vehicles pass daily on Peachtree. The Chamblee subway station is within walking distance. Other tenants include Starbucks, Verizon, CRS Outdoor, Mattress Firm and Chipotle.

Green Globes Rating

The 45,000-square-foot Whole Foods Market at the retail center earned a Green Globes rating last year, from the Green Building Initiative. The design team implemented efficient irrigation strategies, put green walls in place to keep the temperature at optimum levels and planted various species of trees and shrubs to conserve water consumption.

Peachtree Station offered a generational opportunity to own a best-in-class, newly constructed Whole Foods-anchored center in an urban infill Atlanta location. The property was 100 percent preleased prior to construction completion, and there is no natural or organic grocer competition in over a three-mile radius,” said Fain Hicks, senior director at Cushman & Wakefield, in a prepared statement.

Hicks represented S.J. Collins Enterprises in the transaction.
