The owners of the 200-key DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel El Paso Downtown, Elma Carreto and Jim Scherr, have selected The Marcus Corp. to manage the hospitality asset in Texas. Additionally, the firm will also operate the upcoming Courtyard by Marriott El Paso Downtown/Convention Center, a 151-key property projected to open in June 2018.

Located at 600 N. El Paso St. in El Paso, the 17-story DoubleTree sits alongside Interstate 10, about one mile from the Mexican border. The site of the nine-story Courtyard hotel is situated one block southwest, at 610 N. Santa Fe St. Both structures are within a five-minute walk of the city’s baseball stadium, the El Paso Convention and Performing Art Center and the Holocaust museum.

Centrally located with a range of amenities

The DoubleTree offers a variety of guest amenities, including conference rooms and structured parking on the building’s lower five levels. The Courtyard’s amenity mix includes 765 square feet of meeting space and on-site laundry facilities. Both properties feature outdoor swimming pools, exercise facilities and complimentary Wi-Fi.

“El Paso has so much to offer, including its strong business base, robust tourism and exceptional recreational, educational, athletic and retail opportunities,” said Gregory Marcus, president & CEO of The Marcus Corp., in a prepared statement. “Both these properties are ideally located near the city’s convention and performing arts center and Southwest University Park sports complex and event venue, and are poised to capture even greater share of the thousands of tourists and business people who travel to El Paso.”
