A massive renovation of one of the city’s most intriguing hospitality properties has completed and the historic hotel was re-opened. Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide unveiled the restored Prince de Galles, a venue that is currently part of the Luxury Collection Hotels & Resorts brand.

The hotel has undergone a two-year restoration that has enhanced all of its original art deco features. Prince de Galles is part of a larger investment scheme by Starwood that has committed $200 million for renovation and restoration operations to some of its best-known historic hotels across the European continent. CPE previously reported on the plan back in December.

Prince de Galles is located in the Golden Triangle of the Yvelines area of Paris, which designates the perimeter created by the Avenues des Champs-Élysées, George V and Montaigne best known for its wealthy residents. The restoration process was carried out with the aid of design company ERTIM Architectes S.A., the objective being the recapturing of the building’s original opulence.

The hotel offers guests 115 rooms and 44 suites including 23 Mosaic and 18 Macassar suites, all featuring plush chairs, chaises longues and black Saint Laurent marble. The suites will also include fine carpeting, a grand Macassar desk and a sycamore dressing room to complete the luxurious feel of the guest spaces. The hotel’s two royal suites fuse together classic French elegance with more exotic elements: Suite d’Or features a gold-leaf mural by Manuela Paul-Cavallier while the equally sophisticated Suite Saphir, featuring a color scheme where beige and blue are predominant offers a unique living room space.

The hotel’s signature suite, the impressive L’Appartement Parisien is a two-level guest suite offering a number of luxurious features such as a 1000-square foot terrace with fantastic city views, two bedrooms, two living rooms, a dining room and a kitchen, all these linked by an Art Deco staircase. Dining options at the hotel include the signature restaurant La Scéne, the Les Heures bar and the famous Patio with Art Deco accents. The guest amenity pack includes a remodeled lobby, a fitness center, a Wellness Suit, a meeting space that can accommodate up to 70 people.
