Stonehenge Plans Major Project in Sylvan Park
- Oct 01, 2015
As many as 550 apartment units and seven single-family homes could be part of Nashville’s upcoming Madison Mill Lofts residential community, according to the Tennessean.
Stonehenge Real Estate Group is planning to build the project on a 7.10-acre industrial site at 4101 Charlotte Ave. The multifamily developer met with site neighbors to present its proposal in a meeting hosted by Kathleen Murphy, the Sylvan Park area’s new Metro councilwoman.
The Madison Mill Lofts residential project will offer a mix of studio apartments, one-bedroom and two-bedroom units. Only 20 percent of the total number of units will have two bedrooms, as trends in the booming rental market show that young tenants prefer not to share their living space. Rents here are expected to start at $1,000 for studios, $1,300 for the one-bedroom apartments and $2,000 for the two-bedroom units. The project will also include more than 750 parking spaces.
Pending a rezoning approval from the Metro Planning Commission and Metro Council, Stonehenge anticipates breaking ground on Madison Mill Lofts in spring 2017. Units will be ready for occupancy by the end of 2017.
