Strategic Storage Growth Trust Expands NC Footprint

Strategic Storage Growth Trust Inc., a public non-traded REIT sponsored by SmartStop Asset Management LLC, has opened a two-story self-storage facility in Asheville, N.C.

Located at 3173 Sweeten Creek Road, the property is situated in Skyland, a suburb of Asheville, near State Route 25 and east of Interstate 26.

“Centrally located on the alternate route of State Route 25 and just south of Mills Gap Road, the facility provides convenient access to quality self-storage with a number of amenities,” said Michael Schwartz, chairman & chief executive officer of Strategic Storage Growth Trust, in prepared remarks.

The storage asset is 100 percent climate-controlled and features units ranging in size from 20 to 250 square feet. Amenities include video surveillance, computerized gate or lobby access, elevators and covered loading/unloading area. The building is fenced and lighted, and offers storage supplies and boxes, according to SmartStop Self Storage’s website.
