StyleCraft Homes plans to start work in the next several months on a new neighborhood of villa-style homes in Richmond, the developer announced on July 25.
Located at Huguenot and Old Gun Roads, the new community will be called The Villas at Archer Springs and will feature 95 single-family homes buffered by 19 acres of forested open space. Downtown Richmond is a 10-minute drive from the development’s future site, and Stony Point Fashion Park Mall and Chesterfield Towne Center are about five minutes away.
“The Villas at Archer Springs homes will feature stylish exteriors and innovative floor plans at a tremendous value,” Richard Kuhn, President of StyleCraft Homes, said in a statement. StyleCraft’s villa-style homes range from 1,550 to 2,500 square feet. The Villas at Archer Springs will be a low-maintenance community and a homeowner’s association will maintain its grounds and common areas.
The Villas at Archer Springs has received support from city of Richmond and the City Council recently approved the project unanimously. An innovative tree preservation program, the first of its kind in Richmond, has done much to marshal that support.
“Since rezoning approval last year, Councilwoman Graziano, the City of Richmond Planning Department staff and the neighboring communities have worked diligently with our team to create a tree preservation plan that will be a lasting treasure to our future residents,” Mitchell Bode, StyleCraft’s Director of Land Acquisition and Development, explained.
StyleCraft has not disclosed the project’s cost, but construction may start this fall. Lots will be available for sale in October, and a model home is expected to be ready for tours in early 2015.
