Transwestern Adds Senior Managing Director

Jimmy Hinton joins the firm from HFF. In his new role, he will develop research and predictive analytics to guide and support investment strategy and portfolio management.

Transwestern has hired Jimmy Hinton as senior managing director of the Investments & Analytics department, based in Houston. In this position, Hinton will advance research and predictive analytics to lead and assist real estate investment strategy, market and asset selection, underwriting and portfolio management for Transwestern and its clients.

As a member of the firm’s executive committee and board of directors, he will also manage investment and analytics initiatives in all three component companiesTranswestern Investment Group, Transwestern Commercial Services and Transwestern Development Co.

Hinton joined Transwestern from HFF. As managing director & head of research, he provided in-depth analysis of economic, property and capital market trends for various commercial properties. During his six-year tenure, Hinton worked with pension funds, life insurance companies, regional and CMBS lenders, REITs, foreign investors and private equity funds. His activity also included producing transaction-supporting analysis for debt placement and investment sales assignments. While at HFF, Hinton was involved in more than 150 commercial real estate transactions totaling more than $4.5 billion across 20 states.

Hinton is an active member of NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association, Urban Land Institute and Pension Real Estate Association. He holds a bachelor degree in finance from Southern Methodist University.

In recent months, Transwestern continued to expand its teams across the U.S. In March, Transwestern Commercial Services hired a new vice president in New Jersey.
