Transwestern has hired a new Executive Vice President at its Tysons, Va., office. Mike Wiley will work in the firm’s Tenant Advisory Services practice, helping multimarket clients with financial and business goals and operating requirements.

Wiley has more than two decades of real estate experience in the Washington, D.C., metro area. His expertise spans across several business services, ranging from lease negotiations, acquisitions and dispositions portfolio management to build-to-suit transactions. Prior to joining Transwestern, Wiley worked for Equis, helping the firm’s operations take root in Washington, D.C. Equis eventually became part of Cushman & Wakefield, where Wiley continued his career as a managing director, with a total of more than 21 years with the company.

What attracted me to Transwestern is the entrepreneurial culture, where you have the freedom to create your own success. Transwestern offers the agility and flexibility of a boutique agency with all the resources of a national platform. There’s a commitment here to continue growing the Tenant Advisory Services practice while remaining privately owned,” said Wiley in a prepared statement.

Recently, Transwestern’s Washington, D.C., office was tapped by Tysons Development LLC to lease 873,830 square feet of office space at The View, a 3 million-square-foot mixed-use development in Tysons, scheduled for completion in 2021.
