Transwestern has promoted Bruce Ford and Chip Clarke to president of the company’s eastern and western commercial services divisions, respectably. Each will oversee operational excellence, client service delivery and business development initiative for the commercial services business in their respective regions.

Ford will handle the commercial services business in offices throughout Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Virginia, Maryland, the District of Columbia, Massachusetts, New Jersey and New York. He has been with Transwestern for 10 years and covered all business lines, including agency leasing, asset services, capital markets and occupier solutions. Previously, he had been president of the company’s southeast division, during which time the region’s property management portfolio doubled to its current 20.3 million square feet. In 2018, he received the company’s highest honor, the Transwestern’s Founder’s Award.

Clarke will manage the commercial services in the West, that include offices in California, Arizona, Colorado and Washington. During his almost 30 years with Transwestern, he has been in leadership roles at a local, regional and national level for the company’s service lines. In 2018, he initiated the framework for the company’s Strategic Account Management program. Last year, Clarke also won the popular vote for Service Executive of the Year from Commercial Property Executive’s annual survey.

They will work closely with Thomas Lawyer, who was appointed president of Transwestern Commercial Services last October.
