Transwestern Welcomes New SVP

The company hired Franklin Byrd as managing senior vice president of corporate operations and finance. He has more than 25 years of experience in finance, accounting and compliance.

Transwestern hired Franklin Byrd as managing senior vice president of corporate operations and finance. The new position was created to enhance finance, accounting, reporting, compliance and administrative functions across the Transwestern family of companies.

With more than 25 years of experience in finance, accounting and compliance, Byrd previously served as vice president of finance at Hunt Power, a division of Hunt Consolidated. During his tenure at Hunt, he oversaw financial vision, direction and leadership for the construction of and investment in electric infrastructure assets.

Prior to this, he was CFO, vice president & controller of Panda Energy. Byrd also held various positions at the Hispanic Television Network, Chancellor Media Corp. and Panhandle Eastern Corp. A certified public accountant, Byrd received a bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting from Mays Business School and an MBA from the Houston Baptist University.

“Franklin’s extensive experience in finance and operations will make him a valuable asset to our company and clients,” Transwestern CFO Steve Harding said in a prepared statement.

Earlier this month, the company brokered the sale of One Ridgmar Centre, a 177,000-square-foot office building in Fort Worth, Texas.
