Highlands REIT has sold the last and largest available industrial tract in Orlando’s tourism corridor. Universal Orlando acquired The Orlando Distribution Center, a 101-acre site on the southeast quadrant of West Sand Lake Road and Perimeter Road, for $27.5 million. The site features 4,000 linear feet of frontage on West Sand Lake Road.

CBRE’s David Murphy, Robert McEwan and Monica Wonus represented the seller.

“In 20 years of transacting industrial property in Central Florida, I have never seen the demand we saw for this site,” said David Murphy, senior vice president of CBRE, in prepared remarks. “In the end, it was Universal’s ability to close immediately that allowed it to win the bidding process.”
