The Estrella Health Center in Phoenix recently added the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs to its tenant roster. A long-term office lease was inked between the owner and the VA with representation from Colliers International. Associate Vice President Matt Fitz-Gerald with Colliers and Legend Real Estate Management Manager Elena K. Safaei worked on behalf of the property owner in the leasing deal.

Located at 9250 W. Thomas Road, the property offers a total of 80,814 square feet of space. The 2009-built medical office property offers the VA great proximity to the nearby Banner Estrella Medical Center, a campus where the Administration also has a presence.

The newly-leased space, totaling roughly 20,000 square feet of space, will house the Southwest community-based Outpatient Clinic operated by the Veterans Administration. The facility will occupy the Estrella Health Center’s fourth floor. The VA-staffed clinic will provide veterans with primary care, replacing the now defunct clinic in Buckeye.

Once fully operational, the Outpatient clinic will also provide mental health and ancillary services such as phlebotomy, nutrition, pharmacy and social work to over 8,200 Veterans in West Phoenix and the Southwest Valley, according to the Veterans Administration Spokesperson Jean Schaefer.
