The hotel’s history dates back to 1934 when it opened as Park Avenue Hotel, which housed approximately 50,000 troops during World War II. After the war, The Park Avenue Hotel added a restaurant which became a significant attraction for Miami’s upper class. The hotel later closed for 80 years and re-opened as the Vintro Hotel South Beach in 2013, bringing back its historic appeal and quickly becoming one of the top hotel destinations in Miami Beach. Since then the hotel won TripAdvisor’s Certificate of Excellence in 2015 and was rated among the Top 25 Hotels in TripAdvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Awards.

Curio, along with the hotel’s ownership group, Encotel LLC. is proud to celebrate the hotel’s heritage as it joins the growing Curio Collection by Hilton.
