W Hotels Opens First W Sound Suite in North America

The company, together with its partner Coca-Cola, opened a private recording studio and creative space at W Seattle. Josh Held Design designed the Sound Suite concept.

Marriott International’s brand, W Hotels Worldwide, together with its longstanding partner Coca-Cola, opened W Seattle Sound Suite at W Seattle. The private recording studio and creative space is the first W Sound Suite to open in North America.

Located at 1112 4th Ave., the W Seattle Sound Suite can accommodate up to 25 people and features a 22-foot tall graphic record collection and a three-story stainless steel fireplace. Common area amenities include a 24-hour in-room dining area, a business center, Wi-Fi, W MixBar and a state-of-the-art fitness center. Additionally, the hotel offers 10,000-square-foot of meeting and event space. W Seattle Sound Suite is also pet friendly.

Envisioned by Josh Held Design, the studio’s aesthetic pays tribute to Coca-Cola. Design features include red accents and a mural by Ames Brothers with subtle Coca-Cola references.

As one of the most iconic music capitals in the world, I couldn’t think of a more ideal location for our first W Sound Suite in North America than W Seattle,” Anthony Ingham, global brand leader, W Hotels Worldwide, said in prepared remarks. “The W brand has long been synonymous with music, from the live music programming in our buzzing Living Rooms to musicians choosing to stay with us while on tour.  The W Sound Suite provides the perfect professional environment for when inspiration strikes – any time, day or night, complemented by 24-hour room service, of course!”

Last year, W Hotels Worldwide opened the world’s first W Sound Suite at W Bali – Seminyak and plans to open W Hollywood and W Barcelona by the end of the year. Marriott International recently opened a dual-branded project comprising a 120-key Courtyard and a 200-key Residence Inn property in downtown Phoenix.
