Washington Prime Group Taps New Board Member

Columbus, Ohio—Washington Prime Group, the retail REIT formerly known as WP Glimcher, has announced the appointment of Sheryl von Blucher as director of the company, effective immediately. She will be part of the Audit Committee of the Board, a term that expires in 2017.
“Given her wide-ranging strategy and leadership experience, Sheryl will be an important contributor as an advocate for driving growth and shareholder value,” Director Jacquelyn Soffer said in a prepared statement.
Von Blucher has more than 30 years of experience in strategic and portfolio planning, operations and corporate finance for national and international organizations. Previously, she served as managing director for JMJS Group, a private equity partnership.
In addition, the current director was a leader in strategy and corporate affairs for Heritage Amoco of British Petroleum (BP Amoco) and held a position as senior vice president at Information Handling Services. She is a graduate of Rice University and received a master’s degree from Harvard University.
Washington Prime’s holdings in central Ohio include the Polaris Fashion Place in Columbus, River Valley Mall Lancaster and Indian Mound Mall in Heath.
