North Fulton Hospital, Spalding Regional Hospital, Sylvan Grove Hospital, Atlanta Medical Center and the center’s South Campus have been added to WellStar’s network and will turn into not-for-profit entities.

The deal comes on the heels of West Georgia Health’s decision to join WellStar in November. The not-for-profit operates the 276-bed West Georgia Medical Center in LaGrange. WellStar’s move requires several approvals, including that of Georgia’s Attorney General.

As a result, WellStar’s portfolio is currently made up of 20,000 team members across 11 campuses, some 200 medical office locations, and a large number of outpatient facilities.
