Western National Group, in partnership with Anchor Real Estate Capital and Fantasia Holding Group, is set to construct The Platform, a 551-unit community in San Jose.

The asset will be located within the 120-acre Market Park San Jose master-planned community and will feature 37,500 square feet of retail space. The Platform is slated for completion by the third quarter of 2019.

Strategic location

Located at 1590 Berryessa Road, the community will be within walking distance of the new Berryessa BART extension station. The station, which is slated to open in June 2018, will provide quick access to the Bay Area, the East Bay and San Francisco.

As tech remains hot in Silicon Valley, the area offers jobs by employers including Adobe, Apple, Cisco, Tesla, Netflix and San Jose State University. Additionally, the site is close to major freeways, including highways 101 and 87, and interstates 680 and 880.

Planned as a lifestyle-oriented community, The Platform will feature high-end design, including amenities such as:

  • two resort-style pools
  • two fitness centers
  • outdoor kitchen areas
  • a dog salon
  • two bike stations
  • two clubhouses
  • gaming facilities

“This project is ideally situated to offer the San Jose community much-needed high-quality suburban infill housing in an established residential neighborhood at the center of a thriving commercial center,” mentioned Jon Paynter, managing director of development at Western National Properties, in prepared remarks. “Further, based on lack of available land, this will be the only asset of its class and strategic location in this market.”
