TJ Maxx, Home Goods and Michael’s Arts & Crafts have all extended their leases at Columbus Square, a mixed-use development in Manhattan’s Upper West Side.
Winick Realty Group negotiated the deals, which represented more than 100,000 square feet, on behalf of the landlord.
“Columbus Square has brought new excitement to this Upper West Side neighborhood and created a destination for both local residents and shoppers from all over the city, allowing the retailers there to truly thrive,” Jeff Winick, Winick Realty Group’s CEO, said in a prepared statement. “We are pleased with the success that TJ Maxx, Home Goods and Michael’s Arts & Crafts have had at the property and we look forward to these tenants remaining at Columbus Square for years to come.”
TJ Maxx extended its lease for 40,550 square feet at 808 Columbus Ave., while Home Goods chose to stay in its 27,019-square-foot store at 795 Columbus Ave. Also, Michael’s Arts & Crafts renewed its contract for 34,424 square feet at 808 Columbus Ave.
Additionally, Winick Realty Group completed a 10,976-square-foot lease with Higher Ground Education at 775 Columbus Ave. The education company will open an early childhood Mandarin immersion school sometime in the next six months.
Newmark Knight Frank’s Jordan Gosin and JLL’s Nick Carey represented the tenant in the new lease, while Winick and his associate Ross Burack handled things on the ownership side.
