The first-ever WoodSpring Suites property has opened in Oklahoma City.
Officials gathered on August 18 to celebrate the grand opening of the first hotel under the new WoodSpring Suites brand. Formerly known as Value Place, it is one of the nation’s fastest-growing all-new construction extended-stay hotel brands. The company rebranded in April 2015.
“Coming off of a year of record growth, further built on our legacy of innovation, we decided to forge ahead and take the company to the next level,” said Bruce Haase, CEO of WoodSpring Suites in a prepared statement. “”The decision to rebrand to WoodSpring Suites is part of our long term growth platform and it’s incredibly exciting to see this vision come to life in our first WoodSpring Suites hotel,” Hass added.
Located at 4300 W. I-40 Service Road, the 124-key WoodSpring Suites Oklahoma City West Airport offers guests easy access to the Will Rogers Airport, the FAA Academy, as well as a large outlet shopping mall. Amenities include free high-speed internet, guest laundry and in-room kitchens.
WoodSpring Suites currently has 197 hotels located across 32 states. The Wichita, Kan.-based company plans to transition its existing hotel portfolio to the WoodSpring Suites brand by the end of the first quarter of 2016.
