ZOOM+ Announces Relocation to Downtown Portland

The innovative healthcare company is leaving Hillsboro and moving its 300 employees to downtown Portland.

Portland, Ore.ZOOM+ is moving its headquarters from Hillsboro, Ore., to Portland’s Pearl District. The move that will relocate the neighborhood clinic and health insurance purveyor to downtown Portland will take place on January 1, 2017.

“I’m proud our booming economy is attracting companies like ZOOM+ from the suburbs to join Portland’s innovative, creative, and sustainable businesses,” Portland Mayor Charlie Hales said in a prepared statement. “We are excited to welcome ZOOM+ headquarters and its 300 employees to the Pearl District.”

Envisioned as a “basecamp for global healthcare innovation”, ZOOM+’s new office will consist of 30,000 square feet on the fifth and sixth floors of the new Pearl West development, and will house over 300 medical professionals, technologists, designers and insurance and finance experts. The new space will be designed to enable healthcare innovation and will include a hub for providing virtual care, an innovation lab for digital and physical providing virtual care, an innovation lab for digital and physical prototyping, as well as a “kitchen” co-working space for impromptu work sessions and all-hands meetings. Furthermore, the company’s values of food, movement and relationship to life will be incorporated throughout the space.
