Industrial Demand
On a month-over-month basis, new orders decreased for most industries in October 2017, with Computers and Electronic Products posting the most substantial decline (18.4 percent decrease).

Compared to July 2016, new orders for all manufacturing industries increased by 5.4 percent or approximately $22.6 billion in July 2017.

New orders decreased compared to 2016 only for Computers and Electronic Products (-0.7 percent), while for the remaining industries, new orders have increased.

Compared to April 2016, new orders increased for all industries except for Furniture and Related Products, which went down by 2.1 percent.
