    U.S. private-sector employment increased by 230,000 jobs in October. Economic activity in the American non-manufacturing sector grew in October for the 57th consecutive month. Bankruptcy cases filed in federal courts for the fiscal year 2014 dropped 13 percent from last fiscal year.

  • 175K Jobs Added in January; Lending Standards Easing; Service Sector Still Growing

    The U.S. private sector created 175,000 jobs in January, with the largest number created by small businesses. More domestic banks are easing their lending standards on a variety of business and consumer loans during the last three months. And the Institute for Supply Management said that its non-manufacturing index was up 1 percentage point to 54 percent in January, compared with December.

  • Nearly 200K Jobs Created in February

    According to the Federal Reserve, economic activity generally is expanding at a modest to moderate pace. Total U.S. bankruptcy filings decreased 21 percent in February compared with the same month a year ago. And according to ADP, private sector employment increased by a net of 198,000 jobs from January to February.
