• SKECHERS Distribution Center Becomes Largest LEED Gold Building in the U.S.

    A distribution center operated by SKECHERS, the footwear manufacturing company, was recently officially certified LEED Gold by the U.S. Green Building Council. The certification makes the facility largest LEED-certified building in the entire country to have achieved Gold status. According to SKECHERS CEO and CFO David Weinberg, the company “is committed to growing its business in a way that conserves natural resources, protects the environment and reduces waste”, therefore the development process, handled from planning to construction by Highland Fairview, was green-minded from the start.
